Leadership

Our board is composed of elders appointed from our member churches. From these elders we have an executive committee who provide leadership to fulfill the plans of the network. Our regular operations are implemented through our staff and the sacrificial service of our network members.

Executive Committee

Chairman – Jon Taylor

Jon has served as pastor at Church of the Redeemer since he was called to plant it in 2004. His heart is for preaching, teaching, discipleship, worship, outreach, and mercy ministry—with the hope of pointing people to Jesus.

Born in Randolph, VT, Jon completed his BS in Music Education in 1992, before earning his Master of Divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte in 2003. Along the way, he served in a variety of ministry roles:  Director of Worship, Youth, and Children’s Ministry at Covenant Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Easley, SC, and as Assistant Pastor at First Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Concord, NH. Each experience helped shape his deep love for both God’s Word and His people.

Vice Chairman – Chris Shoemaker

Treasurer – Ian Hard

Ian Hard has served as pastor of Christ Church PCA in Pembroke, NH, since 2016. Before coming to New Hampshire he helped plant a church in Iowa City, IA. In 2022, Ian completed a Doctor of Ministry degree in cultural apologetics. He seeks to bring his experience and education to bear as he shares good news to his adoptive home of New Hampshire.

Ian and his wife Rebecca have fallen in love with New England and try to get outside in God’s creation with their four kids as much as possible. When not spending time with his family or in ministry, Ian enjoys rowing on the Merrimack River.

Ian is also the administrator for the network helping accomplish the vision of the board alongside Rick and Jarrett.

Staff

Rick Hollen, Ministry Director

Rick and his wife, Kendra, moved to New England at the tail end of a 23-year military career and have stayed in Maine ever since. Rick is a ruling elder at Christ the Redeemer PCA in Portland, Maine and has been involved in various ministries there over the past fourteen years. He holds an MBA from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA, has been involved in all aspects of several entrepreneurial ventures, and brings a unique blend of experience and business acumen.

Rick and Kendra reside in Freeport, Maine. Only one of their five children remain at home with them. They enjoy traveling, biking, kayaking, sailing, skiing, music, and a broad range of activities no matter the season.

Rick is currently on medical leave from his role.

Jarrett Allebach, Interim Assistant Director

Rev. Jarrett Allebach and his wife Hillary came to New England in 2007 and to Worcester, MA in 2013 to Plant Grace Presbyterian Church.  Grace is an intergenerational and cross-cultural church rooted in Christ and here to advance Jesus’ influence in Worcester and through the world. Jarrett has been involved with the New England Church Planting Network since its founding, longs to see a fresh movement of the Holy Spirit in this region, and resonates with the prayer of Psalm 126. In addition to time with family and serving in ministry, Jarrett enjoys the outdoors, coaching soccer, reading, and building friendships.
